I was picked up from my Kochi hotel by a personal driver and taken to close to the reserve where we met the guide, Praveen.
I’m not an experienced bird watcher, I just wanted to get out into nature and experience the forest whilst being guided. Praveen was very knowledgeable and pointed out many species that I would have missed in the trees let alone known what they were.
After ~3 hours of early morning walking and watching we went to an excellent hotel/restaurant located by a lake. I slept off my early start in a hammock and then had an excellent lunch before we went to a wetland area to search for more birds.
I had an excellent day with very patient and professional people. I actually messed up my dates but there was no issue at all for Tropic Trails to rearrange my trip the next day. It was completely my fault but they were kind and forgiving :) I thoroughly recommend them for a guided tour of nature.
