What a wonderful adventure packed four days/three night stay safari in Mudumalai National Park that Anoop Jacob from Tropic Trails planned out at the last minute. His skillfulness, professionalism and kindness shined after the park that I had originally planned to visit was unexpectedly temporarily closed to tourists. He came up with a delightful alternative and arranged everything including an airport transfer, dedicated guide and driver. Madumalai National Park is one of the oldest parks in India and is approximately 90 km from Mysore. It is located where three states meet – Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka in the southern part of the Western Ghats. Home to spotted deer, tigers, leopards, dhole, Gaur, strip-back mongoose, wild elephants, Malabar Giant squirrels and more. The Oscar winning documentary, The Elephant Whisperers was filmed on the park. I had an unplanned heartwarming meeting with Bowman and Bellie, his wife who were featured in the documentary for their work caring for orphaned or abandoned baby elephants. Kudos to Tropic Trails
