A Tropic Trails guide will pick you from the Kochin International Airport and drive you to Kadamakkudy village. Kadamakkudy is a fishing village and it is cluster of fourteen islands located 15 km away from Kochin city. The backwaters, paddy fields, fish farms, prawns farms and other rustic village scenes will make it perfect place to start your tour. Kadamakkudy is also home to a wide variety of common and migratory bird life and fish species. In the evening you have an optinal sunset kayaking.
After the breakfast we will start cycling towards Cherai Beach. we will be cycling through fishermen villages, paddy fields and fish farms and we will be crossing couple of ferries. On the way we will visit Muzris Heritage Site.The story of Muziris starts from early 3000 BC when Babylonians, Assyrians and Egyptians came to the Malabar Coast in search for the spices. Later these Middle-East groups were joined by Arabs and Phoenicians. And gradually Muziris in Kodungallur entered into the cartography of World trade map. Then onwards Muziris holds the key to a good chunk of Kerala’s ancient history now the ancient trade route.
Today we will be cycling through beach roads, local villages and we will take a ferry to the historycal town Fort Kochi. After the lunch we will cycle around Fort Kochi, through the small gullies, markets and historical monuments.
After an early breakfast we will do an our transfer to Karimugal and we will start cycling towards Thttekad. Today we will be cycling to the foothills of Western Ghats along the canal roads through rubber plantations, paddy fields, spice plantations and pinapple plantations. In the evening we will go for kayaking in the Periyar river.
Today we have an optional bird waching and nature walk in Salim Ali Bird Sanchuary. After the breakfast we will be cycling towards Mankulam. We will be cycling through Tribal villages, forest, spice plantations and rubber plantations. The main atraction in Mankulam village is Anakulam it means elephant’s pond in local language. Wild elephants and their claves frequently arrive at the Anakulam river to drink water. The mineral content in the water is the prime attraction for the wild elephants, the water bubbles that have a particular salty flavour.
Today we have a beoutiful ride through local villages, forest and tea plantations. Munnar is a hilly town located in the Kannan Devan Hill ranges, the picturesque landscapes and the pleasant weather throughout the year are incomparable. The plantations in the rolling hills are an amazing sight that cannot be portrayed on a single canvas. Munnar has a vast number of endemic species of flora and fauna, the Strobilanthes Kunthiana locally known as Neelakurinji (which blooms once in twelve years), the mountain goat Nilgiri Tahr, and Nigiri Langur (black monkey) are a few to name. The area was originally occupied by the indigenous people known as Muthuvans. The British arrived here in the late 1800s and started tea plantations.
Today we are cycling towards Periyar Tiger Riserve. Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the most visited protected areas in India. This wild paradise is known for its unique and diverse flora and fauna; the population of tigers is just over 40 Periyar Tiger Reserve bares its boundary with the Cardamom hill range, the finest aroma of the spices arose from the merchants yards fills this small hilly town, the town also shared an equal share of space with wild wanderers coming in, such as Nilgiri Langur, Bonnet Macaque, Indian Wild Boar (wild pig) and the Malabar Giant Squirrel.
Today you will be going for a nature walk and boat safari at the Periyar Tiger Reserve. In the evening you have an option to see Kalaripayattu (martial art).

Early breakfast and we’re out for a thrilling 30 kms cycling mostly descent and through the spice plantations and rubber estates. After a quick break we transfer you to Alleppey. A luxury rice-barge moored on the Vembanad Lake awaits our arrival. Festive lunch on boat, music in the background, you’re next in charge steering the boat through vast stretches of blue waters. Coconut palms, temples and villages in the horizon, you have a book out to sketch or write a poem. Amidst a million stars in the night sky, the breeze silently steers you into God’s own waters.
A short ride towards Marari which is just 15 km from Alleppey. On the way you will stop at Alleppey town to explore market and visit a Hindu temple. The ride goes along fishing villages where coir rope and mat are made by using coconut husk. You will reach the hotel for lunch. Enjoy your rest of the day at beach stay.
